- Bajaj reopens Chetak electric service centres in Pune and Bangalore
- Details about the resumption of sales are yet to be revealed
Bajaj has announced that it has reopened the service centres of the Chetak electric scooter located in Pune and Bangalore. Similar to other brands and adhering to the government-issued guidelines, these service centres will be following strict safety and health protocols which include sanitisation of the facility and thermal screening of the employees and visiting customers.
Bajaj is yet to reveal the details about the resumption of sales of the Chetak. However, considering the fact that the brand’s Chakan facility is functional since 4 May, sales of the Chetak might resume shortly. As we had reported last month, Bajaj had dispatched 91 units of the Chetak e-scooter in March. However, the month of April witnessed zero sales owing to the strict nationwide lockdown to contain the Coronavirus pandemic.
The Bajaj Chetak is available in two variants including Urbane and Premium which are priced at Rs 1.12 lakh and Rs 1.29 lakh, respectively. While it is currently available only in Pune and Bangalore, the manufacturer will launch it in more cities in the coming days.
