Bajaj keeps updating their products and tests them in India like the NS160, which was spotted on test recently in Pune. The Bajaj Pulsar NS160 is available in international markets like Nepal and Tukey, but not sold in India.
The camouflaged Pulsar NS160 was spotted testing with AHO (always headlamps on) and probably gets the BS-IV compliant engine too. The NS160 looks similar to the NS200, which it is based on. The design is exactly the same with body panels, digital-analog speedometer, clip-on handlebars, split seats, LED tail lamp and an under belly exhaust system borrowed from the sibling. However, a closer look reveals that the front disc brake is smaller, it gets a kick starter and rides on slimmer tyres.
As compared to the NS150, the test mule gets a bigger crank case. This is the single-cylinder 160.3cc oil-cooled four-valve mill producing 15.3bhp of power and 14.6Nm of torque. It comes mated to a five-speed gearbox.
There are speculations that Bajaj might launch this for the Indian market as they have discontinued the NS150. However, we still believe that the NS160 will continue to be exported and Bajaj will focus on selling the NS200 in our country.
