Bajaj Motorcycles has silently discontinued three bikes from its Discover range. The Discover 100, Discover 100M and the Discover 125M are the bikes that got the boot.
The Pune-based manufacturer has removed theses bikes from the official website. Earlier, Bajaj launched many motorcycles under the Discover brand on the pretext of catering to more consumers in the Indian market. However, the strategy didn’t go as expected and the company pulled the plug off certain motorcycles.
It is interesting to see Bajaj depending heavily on the CT100 and the Platina 100ES for its mass market. We spoke to a couple of dealers who confirmed this development. However, they will continue to sell these bikes till stocks last.
Bajaj had admitted that it couldn’t taste success with the multiple Discover bikes as they expected to and henceforth, they will focus majorly on creating new segments through their performance bikes. Just yesterday, the Pune-based manufacturer launched the Avenger 150, which is the first cruiser in the 150cc segment.
