Bajaj has officially launched the Discover 150S today at an event in Mumbai. The bike is available in two variants and has been priced at Rs 51,720 (Ex-showroom Pune) for the drum brake variant and Rs 54,725 (Ex-showroom Pune) for the disc brake variant. This motorcycle will go up against the Hero Achiever and the Yamaha SZ in the 150cc commuter bike segment
The new Discover 150S is available at all Bajaj dealerships. It sports new stickers to set it apart from the current range of Discovers. Coming to the features, the rear mono shock absorber, front and rear mudguards, seat, tank, grab rail, alloy wheels and even instrument console is borrowed from the Discover 125ST.
Though the motorcycle is based on the Discover 125ST platform, it borrows styling traits from the upcoming semi-faired commuter 150F Discover. Overall, the Discover 150S might look similar to the current Discovers but it adopts an all-black look for the side step, chain guard and the grab rail.
The Bajaj Discover 150S is powered by a new 150cc four-valve DTS-i engine that produces 14bhp of power. This engine comes mated to a five-speed manual transmission. The range of Discovers is now complete with bikes ranging from 100cc to 150cc with this Discover 150S now replacing the old Discover 150.
