Bajaj has registered a 19 per cent drop in its domestic motorcycle sales in April 2017. The manufacturer sold 1,61,930 units in April this year compared to the 2,00,433 units sold in the corresponding month last year.
However, their exports fared much better this year. Bajaj's export numbers saw a hike of 44 per cent from 91,465 units in April 2016 to 1,32,002 units in April 2017. This has led to the company registering a meagre growth in overall sales. The combined domestic and export sales figure is 2,93,932 units in April 2017, which is 1 per cent higher than that of the corresponding month last year.
The Pulsar 150, Platina and CT100 continue to remain the leading contributors for Bajaj. Each of these roughly contribute 20 per cent to the sales figures.
