Bajaj launched the new Dominar 400 Touring edition in India recently. It gets a few changes that set it apart from the other version and truly focuses on what the brand is- a touring-friendly motorcycle. So here we tell you all about the new Dominar 400 Touring; what sets it apart and what stays the same.
Added comfort
As its name suggests, the Dominar 400 Touring is aimed at riders who’d want to go the extra mile. And to aid that, the motorcycle is fitted with accessories like a tall visor and a pair of handguards for better wind protection. Moreover, Bajaj has also focused on pillion comfort by fitting the Dominar 400 Touring with a pillion backrest as well.
Equipped for the long haul
Besides comfort, the Dominar 400 Touring also comes with fitments like a navigation device holder as a USB charging port as standard. It also comes with a luggage rack behind the pillion backrest and a saddle stay. And lastly, it also comes equipped with a leg guard and a substantially-sized engine bash plate.
What stays the same?
Bajaj has kept the rest of the motorcycle unchanged. The styling is the same as before, so is the list of features. Its 373cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine is also the same, churning out 39.42bhp and 35Nm. Adding to that, the Dominar 400 Touring also gets the same 43mm USD forks and monoshock as well as the same braking setup with dual-channel ABS. Even the colour options available with the Dominar 400 Touring are the same as the standard version.
Pricing
All of the changes have resulted in a price hike. The Dominar 400 Touring is priced at Rs 2.17 lakh, making it around Rs 5,000 more expensive than the standard version at Rs 2.12 lakh (both prices, ex-showroom).
