- New name trademarked recently
- Registered document leaked
- Could be used for the Bajaj CNG bike
Bajaj recently filed a trademark application for the name ‘Fighter’. The filing has been dated 7 May and we think it could be used for the brand’s upcoming CNG bike. For reference, the brand also trademarked the name ‘Bruzer’ a few months ago, which could also be used for its upcoming CNG bike as there could be multiple models.
So far, two test mules have been spotted for the upcoming Bajaj CNG bike. One of them appeared rather rugged with elements like handle guards, a braced handlebar and block pattern tyres. The second test bike had more road-oriented tyres, a small visor at the front, and a slightly different stance.
Bajaj will debut its CNG bike(s) on 18 June, which is not too long for now. From the previously leaked documents, we have already learned quite a few things about its overall build and structure. The Bajaj CNG bike will get a small petrol tank right above the CNG cylinder.
With the overall low cost of running and a good range, it could make for an interesting proposition. Moreover, we are also eager to see how the overall CNG ecosystem reacts to motorcycles lining up with cars and auto-rickshaws at the same pump. This could be met by challenges such as waiting in long queues exceeding the pump’s vicinity while refuelling, having a separate line, and more.
It is no secret that brands file trademarks at times just to secure the name for future use or not use it all. Moreover, these names are also filed at times for spare parts and multiple other options. To conclude, whether Bajaj will use the ‘Fighter’ name for its CNG bike will be unveiled in the next few weeks.
