A new leaked photograph of the Bajaj Kratos VS400 has hinted that the motorcycle will be offered in a base variant sans an ABS system.
Earlier spy shots of the Bajaj Kratos VS400 have shown the motorcycle featuring a dual-channel ABS system. Now though, this latest photo has revealed the company’s intentions of launching a version without this safety feature. This seems to be a part of Bajaj’s strategy of launching the Kratos VS400 with a very aggressive price tag.
Bajaj executives have previously been quoted as saying that the new Bajaj offering would be a rival to the Royal Enfield motorcycles, and it is not very hard to guess which model they were referring to. Pegged as a sports cruiser, the VS400 will be the first motorcycle under the Kratos moniker. Bajaj has turned to Greek mythology for inspiration for this brand name, which refers to Kratos as son of Pallas and Styx and the ultimate personification of strength, might and authority. The Kratos VS400 will go on sale in November with a price tag between Rs 1.7 lakh to Rs 1.9 lakh.
