The Pulsar NS200 launched in Turkey now gets fuel injection and a single channel ABS. The Turkey-spec NS200 is capable of producing 24bhp at 9750rpm and 18.6Nm of torque at 8000rpm. The Turkish model is also heavier than the Indian spec version by 6kg and tips the scale at 158kg.
These features aren’t new to the Indian motorcycle market, especially in the case of Bajaj. The Pulsar RS200 already offers a fuel injection system and the single channel ABS, although the segment in which the RS200 is placed in is quite premium. So if the Turkish model is launched in India, then that Pulsar NS200 will likely see a price hike.
The current Indian Pulsar NS200, on the other hand, gets neither fuel injection system nor ABS. It produces 23bhp at 9500rpm and 18Nm of torque at 8000rpm. In terms of pricing the Pulsar NS200 is on par with the Honda CB Hornet 160R and the Suzuki Gixxer SF FI. The motorcycle also competes with the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V and the KTM 200 Duke.
The ABS and FI should help the NS200 gain market share and catch up with the competition, especially with the Apache RTR 200 4V which is scheduled to get at least one of those two things before the festive season.
