Bajaj Auto has launched another motorcycle in their 125cc segment, the Discover 125T. The motorcycle will be available in two variants, drum brake and disc brake variants which has been priced at Rs 54,022 (ex-showroom Chennai) and Rs 57,070 (ex-showroom Chennai) respectively.
The Discover 125T has been launched to bridge the gap between the Discover 100T and the Discover 125ST. The only major changes on this new 125cc motorcycle are the nitrox twin shock absorbers, long seat and the option to choose between the drum and disc brake. The motorcycle is basically a stripped-down version of the Discover 125ST and the company is expecting to target consumers who are looking for both, performance and comfort.
The Discover 125T is powered by a 125cc single cylinder air-cooled engine that produce 12.5PS at 9000rpm and 10.8Nm of torque at 6500rpm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission and the motorcycle can reach a top speed of 105kmph. The motorcycle is available in four colours – Brilliant Blue, Midnight Black with blue decals, Flame Red and Midnight Black with red decals. The company claims that the Discover 125T has a fuel efficiency of 77.07 kmpl (CMVR certified).
The Discover 125T will compete with the Hero Ignitor and Super Splendor, Honda Shine and Suzuki Slingshot Plus. We contacted few Bajaj dealers in Mumbai who confirmed that the Discover 125T hasn't reached the showroom and will taken another 15-20 days.
