Bajaj Auto may plan to export their newly launched motorcycle, the Discover 100T to international markets. If the plan is approved, the company will start exporting the 100T 4-5 months from now. This should give the product enough time to reach most of their Indian dealers and generate decent sales as well. Bajaj is already exporting other motorcycles like the Pulsar and Discover to places like South Africa, Indonesia and Latin America.
"Initially we are looking at the domestic market. May be after four or five months, we will be looking at exports of this motorcycle", said R Chandrasekhar, general manager (sales), Bajaj Auto. The Discover 100T will most probably be exported to Indonesia and South Africa first.
The Discover 100T is priced at Rs 50,500 ex-showroom (Delhi) and will be competing with the Hero Passion Pro and Honda Dream Yuga.
