Bajaj might officially launch the Discover 150S on August 11 at an event in Pune. The bike has already reached dealerships and bookings have started.
The new Discover 150S is based on the Discover 125ST platform and borrows styling traits from the semi-faired commuter 150F bike. The latter might also be launched soon. While the 150S gets a similar styling as the rest of the Discover range, it adopts an all-black look for the side step, chair guard and the grab rail.
The bike also gets new decals giving it a fresh look setting it apart from the current Discovers. The bike will sport a rear mono shock absorber, while front and rear mudguards, seat, tank, grab rail, alloy wheels and even instrument console will be borrowed from the Discover 125ST.
The Bajaj Discover 150S will be powered by a new 150cc four-valve DTS-i engine that might churn out 14bhp of power. This motor will come mated to a five-speed gearbox.
The Discover 150S will be added to the Discover range and Bajaj will position it under the Pulsar 150. The motorcycle will go up against other motorcycles like the Hero Achiever and the Yamaha SZ in the 150cc commuter bike segment.
