Bajaj Auto Ltd. sold 2,70,886 motorcycles in November 2015 as compared to 2,61,948 units sold in the same month in 2014. This shows an increase of three per cent in monthly sales.
Bajaj Auto's overall sales for last month almost remain constant with only a minor rise in sales numbers. Thankfully, there's no drop in these sales figures, despite being low on sales of commercial vehicles and exports. In fact, with 18 per cent drop in commercial vehicles sales and 17 per cent decline in exports, the overall sales numbers are still at a respectable number.
The major credit for the decent overall sales numbers goes to the high demand of Bajaj motorcycles like the Discover, Platina and Pulsar series. The Pune-based motorcycle manufacturer also re-introduced the Avenger cruiser motorcycle with cosmetic tweaks and also a 150cc powerplant, in addition to the 220cc mill. The former is available as the 150 Street, while the latter is offered in two variants - Street and Cruise.
