Bajaj Auto Ltd. sold 2,67,841 motorcycles in July 2014 as compared to 2,46,828 units sold in the same month in 2013. This shows an increase of nine per cent in monthly sales.
The company's overall sales also saw a hike of 13 per cent as they sold 3,19,292 units in July this year as against 2,81,327 units sold in the same month last year. The manufacturer also recorded the highest ever exports for any month with 1,69,755 units sold overseas. Last year in the same month, 1,10,023 units of vehicles were exported thus showing a growth of 54 per cent.
Bajaj Auto is India's second largest two-wheeler maker after Hero MotoCorp and also India’s largest exporter of motorcycles and three wheelers. The manufacturer will soon launch the Bajaj Pulsar SS400 that was unveiled at the Auto Expo 2014. The company might also launch the Pulsar SS200 based on the Pulsar NS200 while borrowing design traits from the SS400. Both these bikes are expected to be launched in the Indian market by the start of the festive season.
