Bajaj Auto Ltd. has not been able to sustain the high sales figures of its motorcycles as seen in 2012. In comparison to November sales last year, they have reported a 14.69 per cent decline in the same month this year.
Bajaj sold 2,78,703 motorcycles in November this year, 48,024 units less than last year. The sales figures continue to drop this year with 23,36,467 motorcycles being sold from April to November 2013. The motorcycle manufacturer had sold 25,99,060 motorcycles in the corresponding period last year.
However, we expect this situation to change with the advent of six new motorcycles by Bajaj for the New Year. The motorcycles include the highly speculated Pulsar 375 and Pulsar 200SS which have been reported testing in India. The test mules in a camouflaged avatar have been spied in and around Pune several times. Our readers have also recently spotted them taking trial runs around Dodabetta Tea factory near Ooty.
The Pune-based manufacturer plans to introduce these motorcycles in India by early next year.
