Bajaj Auto will soon update the 100cc variant of its Platina range with a new, disc brake version. The disc brake version of the Bajaj Platina 100 ES (electric start) will be priced at Rs 59,373 (ex-showroom Delhi). In comparison, the drum brake version of the motorcycle is available for Rs 55,546 (ex-showroom Delhi).
The changes will be limited to the addition of a disc brake at the front. The styling cues, mechanical specifications and features will be similar to the drum brake version that is already available for sale in the Indian market.
The BS6-compliant Platina 100 range uses a 102cc, single-cylinder engine that’s tuned to produce 7.77bhp of maximum power at 7,500rpm and 8.34Nm of peak torque at 5,500rpm. The motor is linked to a four-speed transmission. Bajaj Auto claims a top speed of 90kmph.
The feature list comprises of a halogen headlight with LED DRL, tinted visor, long suspension travel and spring soft seat for comfortable ride quality. The rubber footpads aim to further enhance the pillion comfort.
