The Honda Dio retails at Rs 68,352 (ex-showroom Delhi) and has been around for a while. In its generation of updates, the Dio has been one of the sportier-looking scooters on sale in India. It’s powered by a 109.51cc BS6 engine which makes 7.65 bhp and 9 Nm. The Dio is a quite lightweight scooter with agile handling. Hero Maestro Edge
The Hero Maestro Edge is another 110cc scooter that sits in the same price range. It costs Rs 68,698 (ex-showroom Delhi) and is a practical, family-friendly scooter. Powered by a 110.9cc motor, the Maestro Edge makes 8.04 bhp and 8.7 Nm. Hero has equipped the Maestro with features like LED lights, an underseat storage lamp, an external fuel lid, and a revised console. It rides conventional telescopic front forks and a single rear shock while the braking hardware comprises drum brakes at both ends.
Honda CD 110 Dream
If you are inclined towards a 110cc motorcycle, the Honda CD 110 Dream is also an option. It costs Rs 70,315 (ex-showroom Delhi) and packs a 109.51cc BS6 engine belting out 8.67 bhp and 9.30 Nm. The CT125X is Bajaj’s latest commuter motorcycle offering. It’s priced at Rs 71,354 (ex-showroom Delhi) and sits above the Platina in Bajaj’s portfolio. The CT125X houses a single-cylinder 124.4cc motor with the output rated at 10.7 bhp and 11 Nm. The engine is mated to a five-speed gearbox and nestled in a double cradle chassis. The CT125X is a lightweight motorcycle with an overall rugged build. It’s inclined towards daily commutes on both, good and bad riding terrains.
Hero Splendor Plus
Last but not least, priced at Rs 72,076 has also made it to the list. Over the last decade and more, the Hero Splendor has become a household name in the commuter motorcycle segment of India. It gets a trusty build and draws power from a 97.2cc mill with the output rated at 7.91 bhp and 8.05 Nm. Hero has equipped the Splendor with telescopic front forks, dual rear shocks, and drum brakes at both ends. It rides on alloys wrapped in road-biased tyres. The Splendor Plus has proven to be quite frugal with a fuel efficiency of 60kmpl.
