Bajaj Auto has updated the Platina 110 H Gear to comply with the newest emission norms. The updated version of the commuter motorcycle, which is now available in a single variant, is priced at Rs 59,802. In comparison, the BS4 compliant model with a front disc brake was sold at Rs 56,371. The company has discontinued the drum brake version of the motorcycle.
The updated, 115.45cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine on the BS6-compliant Platina 110 H Gear produces 8.44bhp at 7,000rpm and 9.81Nm at 5,000rpm. Its predecessor, in comparison, was tuned to deliver 8.5bhp and 9.81Nm. The engine is paired to a five-speed gearbox.
The changes are limited to the mechanical upgrades, and the BS6-compliant Platina 110 H Gear continues to feature the same design, features and cycle parts as the BS4 motorcycle. Thus, the latest iteration of the commuter motorcycle uses a halogen headlight, semi-digital instrument cluster with gear shift guide and quilt-stitched saddle. The headlight, fly-screen and the turn indicators have received a mild design upgrade for a refreshed look. The BS6 model, similar to its predecessor, is available in two colour options.
The suspension setup comprises of telescopic front forks and Nitrox-charged twin-springs at the back. Anchoring power comes from a 240mm disc at the front and a 110mm drum at the back while the safety net includes CBS tech.
