Bajaj Auto has recently launched the BS6 model of the Platina 110 H-Gear at Rs 59,802 (front disc). While the motorcycle is an attractive proposition at this pricing, we tell you what else you can consider in this ballpark.
Hero Splendor Plus: Rs 59,600 to Rs 63,110
The Hero Splendor is an iconic name which mostly stays on top of the Indian sales chart for its frugal engine and great reliability. Powering the bike is a 97.2cc, air-cooled motor which is known to be a highly fuel efficient unit. Weighing at 110kg, the Splendor is also light and nimble for easy maneuverability in the city. The motorcycle is available in three variants including kick start, self-start and self-start with i3S technology which helps in saving fuel during brief halts.
TVS Radeon: Rs 58,992 to Rs 64,992
The Radeon is TVS’ take on the popular Splendor sporting a similar design but with a few add-ons to make it more stylish. Moreover, it is powered by a larger 109.7cc, air-cooled engine which makes 8.08bhp and 8.7Nm. While the cycle parts of the Radeon are similar to that of the Splendor, it gets additional features such as a side stand indicator with beeper, LED DRL and a USB charging port (optional).
Hero Passion Pro: Rs 64,990 to Rs 67,190
If you want a 110cc commuter but with a swankier styling, Hero has the Passion Pro in its portfolio. With the BS6 update, the motorcycle has received a cosmetic makeover. It also gets 12-inch wheels at both ends which lend it better stability over most of its rivals.
