- Platina 110 H-Gear Drum brake variant priced at Rs 53,875
- Disc brake model now costs Rs 56,371
- Platina 110 H-Gear was launched last month
Bajaj Auto has increased the price of its new commuter offering, the Platina 110 H-Gear in India. The motorcycle is available in drum brake and front disc brake variant which are now priced at Rs 53,875 and Rs 56,371, respectively (both prices are ex-showroom, New Delhi). While the former has received a price hike of around Rs 500, the latter is now pricier by approximately Rs 1000.
Bajaj had launched the Platina 110 H-Gear in the first week of June 2019. The motorcycle sits on top of the Platina line-up with a 110cc motor which comes mated to a five-speed gearbox. In order to distinguish it from the 100cc model, Bajaj has equipped the bike with a fresh set of decals, different alloy wheel design, rubber covers for mirror stalks, thicker foam for the seat and blacked-out engine. The motorcycle also comes equipped with a semi-digital instrument cluster with a gear shift guide, as opposed to the analogue console on the standard Platina 110 and Platina 100.
The motorcycle is powered by a 115cc, air-cooled, carbureted mill which churns out 8.5bhp and 9.81Nm. This motor comes mated to a five-speed gearbox and the ‘H-Gear’ in the name denotes the extra fifth gear which has been added to aid in highway cruising. Suspension duties on the bike are handled by telescopic forks at the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear. Braking power comes from drum brakes at both ends with an optional 240mm front disc on offer. Both the variants get anti-skid braking (Bajaj’s version of CBS) as standard.
Bajaj offers the Platina 110 H-Gear in three colour options including Ebony Black with Blue decals and Ebony Black with Burgundy decals along with the Cocktail Wine Red. In terms of competition, it goes up against the TVS Victor, TVS Star City Plus, Yamaha Saluto Rx, Honda Dream Neo and the Hero Passion Pro 110.
