Bajaj Auto has silently launched the refreshed Platina, called the Platina Comfortec and prices start from Rs 42,079 (ex-showroom Mumbai) onwards. The new Platina will be offered in two variants: kick-start (KS) and electric start (ES). The new bike comes with a few mechanical as well as cosmetic changes.
The Comfortec is an update to the Platina which was launched last year. The new motorcycle gets a reworked suspension set up that has been designed to give more comfortable riding with 28 per cent longer front suspension and 22 per cent extra-long double spring rear suspension. Moreover, the new 'Soft Spring' seat and rubber foot pads is developed to further help in absorbing jerks and bumps.
The Bajaj Platina Comfortec is powered by the 102cc DTS-i engine that makes 8bhp at 7,500rpm and 8.6Nm of torque at 5,000rpm. It is available in two variants — Platina 100 Alloy ES and Platina 100 Alloy KS. Prices for KS start at Rs 42,079 (ex-showroom Mumbai) while prices for the ES start at Rs 44,055 (ex-showroom Mumbai).
