- Starts reaching at select dealerships in India
The Bajaj Pulsar 125 BS6 was launched in April 2020 in India. Until now, the motorcycle was available only in drum and disc brake variants which are priced at Rs 70,963 and Rs 75,462, respectively. Interestingly, the company has now started rolling out the more premium split seat version of the smallest Pulsar which has been pegged at Rs 79,079 (all prices are ex-showroom, Pune).
Besides the presence of a sportier-looking split seat setup, this variant of the Pulsar 125 BS6 also gets other additional elements such as a belly pan, split-type pillion grab rail and edgy graphics similar to the Pulsar 150. The motorcycle remains identical to the disc brake trim in all other aspects.
Powering the Pulsar 125 BS6 is a 124.4cc, air-cooled, fuel-injected engine which produces 116bhp at 8,500rpm and 11Nm at 6,500rpm. It comes mated to a five-speed gearbox. The suspension setup comprises of telescopic forks up front and dual gas-charged shock absorbers at the rear. Braking is taken care of by a disc-drum combination along with combined braking system.
The Bajaj Pulsar 125 split seat variant is available only in select cities as of now. It is likely to go on sale across the country soon. In terms of competition, the motorcycle goes up against the Honda SP 125 and Hero Glamour.
