Bajaj is all set to introduce the most affordable offering in the Pulsar range. Christened as the Pulsar 125 Neon, the motorcycle has been priced at Rs 66,586 which makes it around Rs 2000 cheaper than the Pulsar 150 Neon. With its official launch just around the corner, let’s take a closer look at the bike through this image gallery.
Similar to its 150cc sibling, the Pulsar 125 features a bold and angular headlamp with a contrast coloured pin-striping on top. It houses conventional bulbs for illumination with twin position lamps.
The sharp tail section gets a twin-strip LED tail lamp with a single-unit pillion grab rail. The ‘125’ badging at the rear distinguishes it from the Pulsar 150 Neon.
All the necessary information is displayed on a semi-digital instrument cluster. Sitting behind this console is the clip-on handlebar which gives the motorcycle a sporty character.
The motorcycle comes equipped with a 11.5 litre fuel tank which is borrowed from its 150cc sibling. It is adorned with a bold contrast-coloured ‘Pulsar’ badging.
Powering the bike is a 125cc, air-cooled, carbureted, DTS-i engine which reportedly churns out 13bhp of power and 11Nm of torque. This motor comes mated to a five-speed gearbox.
Braking is handled by a single disc at the front and drum brake at the rear. This setup is assisted by mechanical CBS (combined braking system).
Damping duties are handled by telescopic forks up front and gas-charged dual shock absorbers at the rear.
The motorcycle rides on 17-inch alloy wheels which are shod with Eurogrip rubber as opposed to the CEAT tyres on the Pulsar 150.
The Pulsar 125 Neon lies in the premium 125cc commuter segment and faces competition from the Honda CB Shine SP and Hero Glamour FI.
