Bajaj Pulsar 125 Neon: Top 5 Highlights

Bajaj recently launched the Pulsar 125 Neon in India. It is the smallest motorcycle in the Pulsar range and is positioned as an affordable and possibly more fuel-efficient version of the Pulsar 150. Here’s all you need to know about the Bajaj Pulsar 125 Neon in five highlights.

A stylish commuter

Designing a motorcycle from scratch is an expensive affair. So why not use the same styling and bodywork for an all-new product? Well, that is what Bajaj has done with the Pulsar 125. The motorcycle uses the same design and body as its bigger, highly-successful sibling, the Pulsar 150. It sports the distinctive bulbous headlamp and the split tail lamp setup. While it does get a single-seat, the Pulsar 125 continues to get a clip-on handlebar that leaves a hint of sportiness. However, it distinguishes itself from the Pulsar 150 with the ‘125’ badging on the sharp tail section.

Three colour options

Bajaj is offering the Pulsar 125 Neon in three colours schemes- Neon Blue, Solar Red and Platinum Silver. The blue has a matte black base while the red and silver colour gets a gloss black base paint.

Two variants

These colours are available for both the variants that the Pulsar 125 is available in which is a drum and disc version. While the drum variant uses a 170mm drum at the front, the disc variant comes with a 240mm disc brake. Both models get a 130mm rear drum along with a CBS (combined braking system) as standard.

Uses a 124cc engine

The Pulsar 125 is powered a 124cc, single-cylinder engine that air-cooled and uses a carburettor. This motor pumps out 13bhp of power and 11Nm of torque and comes mated to a five-speed gearbox. While we haven’t tested it yet, we can expect the Pulsar 125 to offer decent fuel efficiency for a commuter motorcycle.

Most affordable Pulsar

Bajaj has pegged the Pulsar 125 Neon at Rs 64,000 for the drum variant and Rs 66, 618 for the disc brake version. It is priced at nearly Rs 1,400 lesser than the Pulsar 150 giving it the title of being the most affordable Pulsar in the current line-up. (all prices ex-showroom, Delhi)
