- Likely to replace the current Pulsar 150
- Gets a tad spottier and youthful design
- Looks ready for production
It’s not a secret that Bajaj is working on a new Pulsar model. The bike has been spotted testing multiple times and in its latest appearance, the bike has been spotted in an almost production-ready form. Here’s what we know about it so far.
The upcoming Pulsar will be a 150cc model with the same engine as the current Pulsar 150. However, it could also get minor tweaks and a probable output figure change. That said, the new Pulsar 150 will likely replace the current-gen model but the nomenclature is yet to be decided. So, the possibility of it getting the N badge is low.
The test bike looked production ready and featured a new fascia. Bajaj will likely equip it with a projector headlight unit and the bike also gets a bikini fairing. The latter gives it a more youthful look. Even the suspension hardware will be altered as the new model gets telescopic front forks and a monoshock. The braking hardware could likely be borrowed and Bajaj could offer two variants of the new Pulsar: single disc and dual disc.
It’ll also cost a small premium over the current generation Pulsar 150 priced at Rs 1,14,176 (ex-showroom Delhi). That said, its launch could be announced soon. Apart from the Pulsar 150, Bajaj is also working on the new Triumph bike which made a public appearance recently.
