The Nepalese market has got a new Bajaj streetfighter – the Pulsar 160NS. The bike has been launched at a price tag of NPR 2.60 lakh (Rs 1.62 lakh).
The Pulsar 160NS carries the design from the Pulsar NS200, which was recently reintroduced in the Indian market. The company is offering attractive paint schemes with the Pulsar 160NS to appeal to younger audience. Just like in the Pulsar NS200, the Pulsar 160NS also gets under belly pan which gives it a sporty look.
Powering this motorcycle is a 160cc single-cylinder motor with oil cooler. This motor produces 15.4bhp at 8500rpm and peak torque of 14.6Nm at 6500rpm. This naked Bajaj bike which tips the scale at 135kg is also being offered with anti-lock braking system (ABS).
The bike is being exported to Nepal from the company’s Chakan facility and sold through Bajaj’s dealerships. Will Bajaj launch the Pulsar 160NS in India? Maybe. The Pulsar 150 is doing really well for the company and it recently got some updates. But with the Pulsar AS150 discontinued from the market, there’s a minute chance of Bajaj introducing the Pulsar 160NS to fill in the void.
