Bajaj Motorcycles has introduced three new colour schemes for the Pulsar 180- Sapphire Blue, Pearl Metallic White and Cocktail Wine Red. The introduction of these colours is nothing but an attempt to clear the stocks of the bike.
The Pulsar 180 and the Pulsar 150, both are pending major cosmetic and mechanical upgrades. In order to take both these motorcycles to a new level, the Pune-based manufacturer will rely upon the Pulsar NS200 platform which is also one of their modern motorcycles. Expect the new Pulsars to get monoshock suspension and carry the same design cues from the 200cc sibling that will help the company to take the styling quotient of the highest sales contributor to a new and competitive level.
With the launch of the updated Yamaha FZ-16 and the Suzuki Gixxer in the pipeline, the competition in the 150cc segment is going to get more competitive. There are not many products in the 180cc segment except few like the TVS Apache RTR 180 and despite that Bajaj may still need to update the Pulsar 180 with some nice features.
