- To be priced at Rs 1,05,216
- Likely to share mechanical specifications with Pulsar 180F
- Launch details unavailable yet
Bajaj Auto will soon update its product portfolio with the launch of the Pulsar 180 roadster in the Indian market. The motorcycle will join the semi-faired Pulsar 180F Neon in the 150-200cc segment to rival the likes of Honda Hornet 2.0, TVS Apache RTR 160, and the Suzuki Gixxer 155 among others. While the company is yet to make an official announcement, dealer sources have revealed that the motorcycle will be available at an ex-showroom price tag of Rs 1,05,216 (ex-showroom).
The motorcycle will feature a naked roadster look that most likely will be similar to the Pulsar 125 and the Pulsar 150 series. Thus, the front fascia should pack a halogen headlight with twin DRLs, a bikini fairing, a tinted visor, a muscular fuel tank, an engine cowl, split-style seats, and a sporty pillion grab rail. The hardware will be similar to the semi-faired version, and the Pulsar 180 should use telescopic front forks and gas-charged rear springs to perform the shock absorption tasks. The braking setup will most likely comprise single discs on both wheels while the safety-net should include a single-channel ABS.
Mechanical specifications, too, should remain similar to the Pulsar 180F Neon. Thus, the upcoming Pulsar 180 should use a 178.6cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that makes 16.6bhp and 14.52Nm of peak torque.
The launch details, as mentioned above, are yet to be revealed. However, it should not be long before we hear an official announcement.
