The upcoming semi-faired motorcycle from Bajaj, the Pulsar 200AS, has been spotted at a dealership. And though Bajaj hasn’t confirmed this yet, speculations suggest that the Pune-based manufacturer is going to launch this bike on April 14.
The Pulsar 200AS is based on the same perimeter frame that is used on the Pulsar 200NS and the recently launched Pulsar RS200. And while it is powered by the same 200cc single-cylinder triple-spark engine, there is no confirmation on whether Bajaj will offer the Bosch fuel-injection system in the Pulsar 200AS.
The Pulsar 200AS or Adventure Sports will be targeted at touring enthusiasts and will be equipped with projector headlamps, a tall windscreen and an aerodynamic semi fairing. Even the body panels carry influences from the naked motorcycle’s design, with some modification to improve the bike’s aerodynamics and touring ability. The Pulsar 200AS will slot in between the Pulsar 200NS and the Pulsar RS200. It will compete with other faired motorcycles like the Hero Karizma and the Suzuki Gixxer SF.
