Bajaj has been testing the fuel-injected version of the Pulsar 200NS in India since a long time now. Our sources have revealed that the manufacturer might launch this 200NS FI version in the coming month.
There will not be any changes to the design and the motorcycle will retain the same features of the current version. The only change will be the introduction of the fuel-injected system in place of the current carburettor.
The Pulsar 200NS FI will be powered by the same single-cylinder 199cc engine that churns out 23bhp of power and 18Nm of torque. The company has used most of the technologies on the bike which are also shared with the KTM Duke 200. This has helped the company to keep a tab on the overall costs.
Bajaj's agreement with Kawasaki enables them to sell their products in Indonesia through Kawasaki’s dealership network, the company might launch this version firstly in Indonesia with the Kawasaki branding.
It is still not sure if the company will launch the Pulsar 200NS FI for the Indian market. If it does, the 200NS FI will be the only fuel injected motorcycle in their portfolio. The Pulsar 220 DTS-Fi was discontinued and replaced by the carburetted version. If the Pulsar 200NS FI is added to Bajaj's portfolio, it will be priced over the carburetted version and become the flagship model.
