Spy shots of the fully-faired Pulsar have been taking rounds of the web for quite some time now. Long ago we had brought the exclusive pictures of the motorcycle for the very first time. This week again we have new images of what looks like the production ready motorcycle, courtesy PowerDrift.
The picture shows the front-three quarter of the yellow coloured bike that has the same twin-projector headlamp setup as the bike sighted testing before. The LED lamps integrated into the fairing further add to the bike’s aggressive look. What is noticeable is that the decals on the bike are visible for the very first time. The graphics in the combination of white and black further enhance the look of the motorcycle which has neat crease lines all over.
The meaty tyres and the disc brake have been borrowed from the Pulsar 200 NS and would borrow many more to keep costs in check. The LED side indicators are a complete lift-off from the Duke siblings from KTM.
Coming to the mechanical bits, the motorcycle is expected to share the same underpinnings like the Pulsar 200NS. Powered by the engine from the 200 NS, the motor will be slightly retuned to take care of the extra weight of the fairing. Since the motorcycle boasts of a sports tourer riding style, the sixth gear might be taller to make it a very comfortable highway motorcycle. The 200SS might be fuel injected and however, does not get an ABS unit.
With this model of the Pulsar which seems to be production ready, we can guess Bajaj might be preparing for the launch of the motorcycle soon. We are hoping that the Bajaj Pulsar 200SS will debut at the 2014 Auto Expo in February. The motorcycle will be priced in the range of Rs 1.05 lakh to Rs 1.10 lakh (ex-showroom Pune). Stay tuned to BikeWale as we get more details on this bike.
