Bajaj has released a teaser video of the new Pulsar 200SS on YouTube, hinting that the supersports motorcycle is going to be launched in India, soon. The interesting part however, is that the supersports motorcycle is going to be badged as ‘Pulsar RS200’ for the Indian market.
While the Pulsar RS200 has already been showcased in Turkey and Cambodia, the Pune-based manufacturer has so far refrained from unveiling the bike in India. Mechanically, the Pulsar RS200 will be identical to the Pulsar 200NS and will feature the same 199.5cc single-cylinder engine. This engine delivers 23bhp and 18Nm of torque through a six-speed transmission.
Previous spy shots have shown that the Pulsar 200SS will feature an ABS system, though the company hasn’t confirmed whether this option will be available on the bikes sold in India. The Pulsar 200SS, or the Pulsar RS200, will compete with other fully-faired motorcycles like the Yamaha YZF-R15 and the Honda CBR150 R.
