- Gets single-channel ABS for the front brake
- Cost Rs 7584 more than the non-ABS variant
- ABS model is yet to reach dealerships
Bajaj Auto has updated its Pulsar model, the 220F with ABS. The motorcycle now retails at Rs 1,05,254 lakhs (ex-shrowroom) which is Rs 7,584 more than the non-ABS model which sells at Rs 97,270. The ABS unit is likely to be the same that Bajaj has been using on the Pulsar RS 200 and Pulsar NS 200 models.
Apart from that, the Pulsar 220F remains mechanically unchanged. It is powered by the same 220cc, single-cylinder oil-cooled motor with Digital Twin Spark Ignition that produces 21bhp of power at 8500rpm and 19Nm of peak torque at 7000rpm. The motor continues to be mated to a 5-speed constant mesh gearbox. Suspension includes telescopic forks up front and gas-charged dual shock absorbers for the rear. Braking is done by disc brakes at both ends with single-channel ABS for the front.
While the ABS-equipped Pulsar 220F is yet to reach dealerships, a few dealers have begun accepting bookings for the motorcycle with deliveries slated to begin by next month.
