Bajaj Auto has launched the AS150 in Turkey at a price of Rs 1.58 lakh (6,990 Turkish lira). The new motorcycle will be sold in the market through Bajaj’s authorised distributor in Turkey - Kuralkan Holdings.
The Bajaj Pulsar AS150 is powered by a revised version of Bajaj's existing 150cc air-cooled DTS-i mill. This 149.5cc single-cylinder motor churns out 16.8bhp of power and 13Nm of torque. It comes mated to a five-speed gearbox.
The motorcycle is the smaller 150cc adventure-tourer from the manufacturer. The other larger capacity sibling available in India is the AS200, on which the Pulsar AS150 is also based on. It features the same body kit that the Pulsar AS200 has.
The AS150 carries most of the elements from the Pulsar AS200 like the new quarter fairing, a projector headlamp and a tall windscreen. The OVRMs, clip-on handle-bars, tail lamps and most other elements are from the Pulsar NS200. Unlike the regular Pulsar 150, the AS150 is built on a new perimeter frame and gets a nitrox mono-suspension at the back.
The Pulsar AS150 is the third member of the Pulsar family in Turkey. The manufacturer had earlier launched the Pulsar 200 NS and RS 200, and now with the introduction of new products like the AS150, Bajaj plans to increase its market share in Turkey.
