Bajaj's smaller 150cc adventure-tourer, the Pulsar AS150, was spotted on test again in Pune. Various test mules of the AS150 have been spotted in and around the city where Bajaj has a manufacturing plant.
The test mule of the Pulsar AS150 that was spotted this time was again camouflaged, but the motorcycle carried the same body kit that the Pulsar AS200 had. The AS150 is expected to carry most of the elements from the Pulsar AS200. The bike will boast of a new quarter fairing, a projector headlamp and a tall windscreen that will be same as the one on the AS200. The OVRMs, clip-on handle-bars, tail lamps and most other elements are from the Pulsar NS200.
The Pulsar AS150 is expected to be powered by a revised version of the existing 150cc air-cooled DTS-i mill. This engine will be tuned to deliver better fuel economy and performance. The AS150 will also be based on a new perimeter frame like the AS200.
The Bajaj Pulsar AS150 will be amongst the new ‘Adventure Sport’ motorcycles that the manufacturer plans to launch in the Indian market in the coming months. It might be launched along with its elder sibling, the Pulsar AS200, which is powered by the 200cc mill seen on the NS200 and the recently launched fully-faired RS200. The AS150 will compete with the Yamaha Fazer V2.0 and the upcoming Suzuki Gixxer SF.
