Few days ago, we reported about a new motorcycle being showcased to the Indonesian delegates at Bajaj’s Chakan facility. This motorcycle in question is the Pulsar AS 200 (Adventure Sports).
While the Pune-based manufacturer said it plans to launch five motorcycles in five months, it didn’t give a hint of a half-faired version of its most successful motorcycle, the Pulsar NS200 being developed. Thanks to ICB, a camouflaged Pulsar AS200 test mule was recently spied in India (could be Pune). The only spy picture is of bad quality but reveals the major design of the bike.
Cosmetically, the Pulsar AS200 is quite identical to the naked sibling. The major change we can see on the Pulsar AS200 is the introduction of the half fairing. It also gets a new headlamp assembly that sports a projector light. In order to give the adventure touring feel to the motorcycle, Bajaj has given it a big windscreen. The Pune-based manufacturer has given a small “Adventure Sports” decal on the front of the half fairing.
As per a close source, Bajaj isn’t launching the Pulsar AS200 anytime soon. The company’s top priority is to launch a new Discover and the Pulsar SS200, which has been one of the most anticipated motorcycle launches this year. We won’t be surprised if the Pulsar AS200 will be the last product to be launched this calendar year.
Stay tuned to BikeWale as we get you more details on the Bajaj Pulsar AS200.
