Bajaj will launch their most awaited motorcycle of 2016 – the Pulsar CS400 next month. This news was confirmed by Rajiv Bajaj, CEO, Bajaj Auto at the company’s annual general meeting (AGM).
In this AGM, the top honcho talked about the company’s plans to invest Rs 2500 crore in the next three years for new launches, product developments and capital expenditures. The Pune-based manufacturer will also launch the Husqvarna brand in India in 2017 (You can read about it here).
The Pulsar CS400 was first showed to the world at the 2014 Auto Expo in the form of the concept. However, recent spy shots of the bike revealed that not a lot of things are going to change for the production version. The main change seen was the absence of USD suspension setup at the front. Instead, the production version will get conventional traditional forks.
In terms of performance, the Pulsar CS400 gets its power from the 375cc liquid-cooled mill that we see on the KTM Duke 390 unit. However, the state of engine might be little different. Once launched, the Pulsar CS400 will be the most powerful motorcycle in Bajaj’s line-up and will compete with the Mahindra Mojo and the Royal Enfield Classic 350.
We’re quite excited to ride the Bajaj Pulsar CS400. It’s been one of the highest researched upcoming bikes on BikeWale. Stay tuned!
