The Bajaj Pulsar N125 is the company’s all new entrant in the 125cc space. The motorcycle is built completely from the ground up, meaning everything from the engine, chassis and design is fresh.
The design of the bike is sporty, youthful and quite attractive. There are a number of interesting design elements such as the floating panels under the tank extensions and the side panels. The headlight, too, has an angular shape while the twin-LED tail lights is a signature Pulsar design element.
Under the bodywork, there is a new steel diamond frame. The frame is said to be lightweight without compromising the required stiffness. It is suspended by a telescopic fork and a preload adjustable monoshock.
The bike rides on 17-inch wheels while braking duties are taken care of by a disc brake at the front and a drum brake at the rear. CBS is standard but ABS, at least as an option, would be ideal.
Powering the bike is a brand new, 124.58cc, air-cooled single-cylinder engine. It makes 12bhp at 8,500rpm and 11Nm at 6,000rpm. The engine is one of the most refined units out there and is paired with a five-speed gearbox.
In terms of features, the Pulsar N125 in the top-spec gets an LCD with Bluetooth connectivity, dual-tone colours, wider rear tyre and an ISG or Integrated Starter Generator for a silent start.
The Bajaj Pulsat N125 goes up against the TVS Raider and the Hero Xtreme 125R.
