-Launched in two variants
-Has a new 124cc, air-cooled engine that makes 12bhp
-Top variant gets LCD with Bluetooth connectivity
The new Bajaj Pulsar N125 has been launched in India at Rs 94,707, ex-showroom. Delhi. The bike is available in two variants with the top variant costing Rs 4,000 extra. It is a completely new motorcycle, meaning everything from the engine to the design and chassis is fresh.
The styling is a departure from the other Bajaj Pulsar’s we’ve seen in the past. It has sharp lines and a number of floating panels that look unique. There’s a lot of visual mass at the front but the tail section, in comparison to the front, is sleeker.
Bajaj is offering the bike in two variants-LED Disc and LED Disc BT. The base variant gets a slimmer rear tyre, smaller LCD and a conventional self starter. The top spec bike has bolder colours, bigger LCD with Bluetooth connectivity, wider rear tyre and an Integrated Starter Generator or ISG for a silent start. It also gets switchable auto start/stop to extract as much fuel economy as possible.
Under the sharp bodywork is a brand new frame that uses the engine as a stressed member. It is suspended by a telescopic fork and a preload adjustable monoshock. The bike rides on 17-inch wheels while braking duties are taken care of by a disc brake at the front and a drum brake at the rear. CBS or combined braking system is standard.
Bajaj has plonked a brand new engine in the Pulsar N125. This 124.58cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine makes 12bhp at 8,500rpm and 11Nm at 6,000rpm. It is paired with a five-speed gearbox.
Bookings for the Bajaj Pulsar N125 have begun and deliveries shall commence shortly. In terms of competition, the bike goes up against the TVS Raider125 and the Hero Xtreme 125R.
