-Gets a digital display
-Gets new LED headlight and tail light
-Goes up against the TVS Raider
The Bajaj Pulsar N125 has been spotted testing once again in the run-up to its launch in a few months. The Pulsar N125 has been conceived to take on the TVS Raider and is Bajaj’s take on a sporty, 125cc commuter.
A look at the design of the N125 shows that Bajaj is likely making a bike that looks larger than a conventional 125cc commuter. This is evident from the large tank with the extensions that extend beyond the telescopic fork suspension. There’s a neatly styled LED headlight as well and its size adds to the presence of the bike.
The side panels have a prominent crease line that flows seamlessly to the raised tail section. One can also spot the twin LED tail lights that look quite distinct compared to the rest of the bikes in the Bajaj Pulsar family.
One can also spot a digital, reverse LCD and it may get Bluetooth connectivity in the top variant.
The details about the engine are scarce at the moment but word is that Bajaj may employ a downsized version of the Pulsar N150’s engine. This engine is known for its refinement, rideability, and fuel efficiency. There is an underbelly exhaust on this test bike and we expect to see a Pulsar N125 that sounds sporty, considering how peppy its competition, the TVS Raider sounds.
As for the hardware, the bike may have a chassis that’s derived from the Pulsar N150. It has a telescopic fork and a monoshock at the rear. The bike rides on 17-inch wheels and is shod with what appears to be MRF tyres. Braking duties are taken care of by a single disc at the front and a drum brake at the rear. We expect to see a Combined Braking System or CBS.
Expect Bajaj to price the new Pulsar N125 competitively, within the range of the TVS Raider and the Hero Xtreme 125R.
