- Official launch could happen before the end of this month
- Gets the same styling as the N250
- Is powered by a smaller 160cc engine
Bajaj has begun sending official invitations for the Pulsar N160 and as per our last report, the bike is now inching closer to the launch. We expect the new Pulsar to debut in a week’s time or less.
Its test mule has been spotted a few times and the last one appeared production-ready. The Pulsar N160 will derive all the styling elements from the larger Pulsar N250. From its headlight to the bodywork, a lot of the design bits seem identical.
We expect it to be equipped with a 160cc single-cylinder air-cooled motor. The spyshots reveal that the Pulsar N160 even gets a kick-starter like the other models. The engine is likely to be mated to a 5-speed gearbox. That said, the test mule had a smaller front disc and skinnier tyres when compared to the quarter-litre offering.
Bajaj is likely to position the Pulsar N160 below the NS160 considering the package we expect it to offer. As for its rivals, the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V and the Hero Xtreme 160R are currently at the upper echelon of the division.
