Bajaj’s iconic Pulsar family has begun to go through a major makeover with the launch of the Pulsar N250 and the Pulsar F250. These are all-new motorcycles and don’t retain any of the components from the older Pulsars. However, there are subtle differences between the N250 and the F250 and we list them down here.
Design
The first and most prominent difference is in the design. Both bikes are identical from the fuel tank to the tail. However, lending them their own individual personalities are different front fascia. While N250 gets a minimalistic yet radical-looking front cowl with tank extensions, the F250 sports a larger semi-fairing that stretches back to blend with the fuel tank. Both carry their own set of graphics as well.
Handlebar
Bajaj has also equipped the bikes with different handlebars which are in line with their design. While the faired F gets clip-ons, the N250 comes with a single-piece flat handlebar. These do not bring along any major difference in the ergonomics. It’s just that the F250’s bar sits higher making it slightly easier to reach. The N250, meanwhile, feels relatively sportier but only by a small margin.
Weight
Thanks to the inclusion of a semi-fairing, the Pulsar F250 is slightly heavier than the naked version. While the F weighs 164kg, the N250 tips the scales at 162kg. Notably, the difference is only on paper since both feel equally light out in the real world and make for a very nimble ride.
Price
Similar to their weight, there’s a marginal difference in their prices as well. Owing to the added body panels, the Pulsar F250 is Rs 2,000 dearer at Rs 1,40,000 as compared to the Pulsar N250 which costs Rs 1,38,000 (both prices are ex-showroom).
