The Bajaj Pulsar NS 150 has been spotted testing once again, and this time, at the Pulsar Stuntmania event in Pune. The motorcycle lacked badges, though it could be easily identified as a Pulsar owing to the styling, which seems heavily influenced by that of the NS 200.
The Pulsar NS 150 test mule wore minimal camouflage and showed off the naked design cues. The Pulsar NS 150 will share many components with the elder sibling which should help shave the costs. The foot pegs, swingarm, crash guards, Y-spoke alloy wheels, instrument cluster, turn indicators as well as the clip on handlebar have been borrowed from the Pulsar NS 200 parts bin, though it gets smaller 33mm forks. It also gets a single piece seat and under belly exhaust, while the tail lamp assembly is similar to the current motorcycle.
Though the Pulsar NS 150 might not get a fuel-injection system very soon, the engine will be tuned to return better efficiency. The motorcycle will also be lighter than the Pulsar 150 DTS-I, which should help return better performance.
The Pulsar has been one of highest selling two-wheeler series in the country and has helped the manufacturer build its image. The current line-up though is long overdue for an overhaul and the Pulsar NS 150 and Pulsar NS 180 might replace the older models. Banking on the frequent testing it is undergoing, we expect the Pulsar NS 150 to be launched before the end of this year.
