- 2024 Pulsar NS160 and NS200 launched in Brazil
- They are called Dominar 160 and Dominar 200 in Brazil
- Bajaj has set up a manufacturing plant in the country
Bajaj has updated the Pulsar NS160 and NS200 for 2024 in Brazil where these bikes are called the Dominar 160 and Dominar 200, respectively. Both bikes are now equipped with dual-channel ABS, as against the previous single-channel unit while the 160cc iteration gets a rear tyre as wide as its 200cc sibling. Moreover, both bikes have also received new colour options.
Bajaj made an announcement about establishing its manufacturing facility in Brazil about a year ago and started production at the plant sometime back. The facility has been set up in Manaus under the brand’s wholly owned subsidiary, Bajaj Do Brazil. As of now, Bajaj sells the Dominar 400, Pulsar NS160, and Pulsar NS200 in in the country but we might see the expansion of this portfolio soon.
The Pulsar NS160 is powered by a 160.3cc, oil-cooled engine that produces 17.03bhp and 14.6Nm. The Pulsar NS200, on the other hand, runs on a bigger 199cc, liquid-cooled motor that pumps out 24.13bhp and 18.74Nm. Both bikes are underpinned by a perimeter frame that is suspended by USD forks and a monoshock while braking is handled by a single disc at both ends. They also share the same bodywork with similar features.
In India, Bajaj retails the Pulsar NS160 and NS200 for a starting price of Rs. 1.25 lakh and Rs. 1.41 lakh, respectively.
