The BS6 compliant Bajaj Pulsar NS160 has been launched in India at an ex-showroom price tag of Rs 1,04,652. In comparison, the BS4 model was available at Rs 94,195. The BS6 transition only brings mechanical upgrades to the Pulsar NS160 while the styling cues and the feature list remains unaltered.
Thus, the Bajaj Pulsar NS160 BS6 continues to feature the NS200 inspired naked roadster design, a halogen headlight at the front, twin pilot lamps, an LED taillight, semi-digital instrument cluster, split-style seats and an underbelly exhaust. The hardware specifications on the latest iteration of the motorcycle continue to include telescopic forks at the front, preload-adjustable rear mono-shock, disc brakes on both wheels (260mm front/230mm rear) and a single-channel ABS.
The colour options, as listed on the company’s website, include Fossil Grey, Wild Red and Saffire Blue.
Mechanical specifications include a BS6 compliant 160.3cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, twin-spark engine with a fuel injection system that produces 17bhp of peak power and 14.6Nm of maximum torque. The BS4 model, for reference, was tuned to deliver 15.3bhp and 14.6Nm.
