- Likely to be compliant with E27.5 fuel
- Gets new decals and graphics
- No changes made to its styling or mechanicals
Bajaj Auto has unveiled the Pulsar NS160 Flex at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2024. The flex-fuel variant was showcased alongside the Bajaj Dominar 400 E27.5. However, unlike the Dominar 400, Bajaj hasn’t specified the exact percentage of ethanol blending available for the Pulsar NS160 Flex.
Although the ethanol blending percentage isn’t specified, it is safe to assume that the Pulsar NS160 might as well be compliant with E27.5 fuel. In its stock form, the Bajaj Pulsar NS160 is E20-compliant. The motorcycle also features different graphics and decals to help it stand out from the standard variant.
Barring the updated engine and new graphics, the Pulsar NS160 Flex remains unchanged in terms of styling and mechanicals. It continues to be powered by a 160.3cc, air/oil-cooled motor that churns out 17.03bhp at 9,000rpm and a peak torque of 14.6Nm at 7,250rpm. It is paired with a five-speed transmission.
The Government of India aims to have E27.5-compliant vehicles in the country by 2025. So, it is safe to assume that Bajaj will introduce E27.5-compliant motorcycles sometime next year.
