Bajaj Motorcycles has launched the ABS version of its naked motorcycle, the Pulsar NS200. With a price tag of Rs 1.09 ex-showroom Mumbai, the Pulsar NS200 is the second motorcycle in the segment to get ABS after the Pulsar RS200.
Just like its fully-faired sibling, the Pulsar NS200 gets a single-channel ABS unit. This means the ABS will work only in the front wheel. In case of panic braking, this safety system will apply the right brake pressure to avoid wheel locking up.
Bajaj is one of the few Indian manufacturers who offer ABS models as an option. Bajaj’s Dominar 400 also gets an ABS variant. Recently, Suzuki launched an ABS version of the Gixxer SF. Just like Bajaj, it also gets a single-channel unit. The Pulsar NS200’s closest competitor, the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V doesn’t get ABS as of now. But expect the Hosur-based company to introduce an ABS variant to counter the Pulsar NS200 ABS.
The bookings for the Pulsar NS200 has already begun. However, the deliveries will take some time as dealers are yet to receive the bike from Bajaj’s Chakan plant.
