Bajaj has officially launched the Pulsar NS200 ABS variant priced at Rs 1.09 lakhs (ex-showroom). Apart from a single-channel anti-lock brake system, the variant also gets a bigger front disc brake.
ABS is a safety feature which kicks in whenever the rider brakes too hard resulting in a front wheel lock-up, which can lead to a crash. Being a single-channel system, the ABS on the Bajaj Pulsar NS200 ABS can prevent wheel lock up only for the front wheel. The Pulsar NS200 ABS gets a 300mm disc up front as compared to the standard bike’s 280mm unit. This disc is similar to the one used in the Pulsar NS200’s supersport sibling, the Pulsar RS200, which is again available with a single-channel ABS unit.
The Pulsar NS200 ABS is offered in three paint schemes – red, black and white. It is Rs 12,000 pricier than the standard variant. It competes against the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V and the Yamaha FZ25, although neither of its rivals get ABS, even as an optional extra.
