- Bajaj NS200 and NS160 Special Edition sport new livery and accessories
- No other cosmetic or mechanical changes
- Unlikely to arrive in India anytime soon
Bajaj has introduced special edition models of the NS200 and NS160 in Colombia. These models are being called the ‘Pulsarmania’ editions in the country.
To distinguish them from the standard models, they sport unique graphics with a dual-tone paint scheme. Both, the NS200 and the NS160 special editions get a black and white paint with neon yellow highlights on the headlamp cowl, tank side panels and shrouds. The bikes also feature sponsor decals on the tank and the ‘Pulsarmania’ decal on the tail section. Additionally, the special edition NS160 and NS200 also come with accessories like knuckle guards, tank grips and crash protectors.
However, apart from the cosmetic changes, the NS160 and NS200 remain the same. The NS160 is powered by a 160cc, oil-cooled motor that produces 15.5bhp and 14.6Nm and comes mated to a five-speed gearbox. Meanwhile, the NS200’s 199cc, liquid-cooled engine puts out 23.5bhp and 18.3Nm. This unit is mated to a six-speed gearbox. The rest of the bikes underpinnings like the brakes and suspension remain the same as the standard models.
Bajaj has been bullish about its reach in international markets with Colombia being one of the biggest markets it exports too. The introduction of the new ‘Pulsarmania’ livery would boost sales of the two models in the country. On the other hand, Bajaj is unlikely to introduce this livery in India anytime soon. But if they do, we can expect them to cost a premium over the standard NS200 and NS160 which are priced at Rs 1.12 lakhs and Rs 92,595 respectively. (both priced ex-showroom, Delhi)
