- Bajaj Pulsar NS200 BS6 launched at Rs 124,006
- Becomes expensive by around Rs 11,000
- Churns out 24.2bhp and 18.5Nm
Bajaj has updated its entire Pulsar line-up to comply with the new BS6 emission norms. While we have already told you about all other updated Pulsar models, it’s about the NS200 now. The Pulsar NS200 BS6 has been officially launched at Rs 124,006 (ex-showroom, Pune). As compared to its BS4 iteration, the bike has witnessed a hike of around Rs 11,000, similar to most other Pulsar models.
What’s worth noting here is that the BS6-bound changes in the engine have brought along a marginal hike in its power figures. The 199.5cc, four-valve, liquid-cooled engine now churns out 24.2bhp and 18.5Nm which is up from the previous 23.2bhp and 18.3Nm. Moreover, the carburetor has also been replaced by a fuel-injector which should further aid in improving its performance. The engine continues to be mated to a six-speed gearbox.
Bajaj has kept the styling, features and cycle parts of the Pulsar NS200 BS6 the same as they were on the previous model. The aggressive streetfighter-like design of this Pulsar is different than any other model in its line-up. The compact and angular headlamp is a reminiscent of the previous-generation Honda CB1000R Hornet. Rest of the design including the sculpted fuel tank with sharp extensions and sleek tail section is in line with its sporty character.
The Bajaj Pulsar NS200 BS6 is available in four colour options – black, white, red and yellow. It competes against the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V in India.
